PeopleSoft training using OnDemand for
major telecommunications company

Our client is a major wireless telecommunications company that offers wireless phone service, two-way radio dispatch, paging, and text messaging, and wireless Internet access to over 12 million customers. Our client was switching its financial systems from Oracle applications to PeopleSoft Financials. The training portion of this implementation focused primarily on the General Ledger, Projects, and Purchasing modules. The client selected Global Knowledge’s OnDemand tool to develop training materials and procedural simulations. The OnDemand tool is the core technology in the Oracle User Productivity Kit (UPK) and Synaptis consultants are OnDemand and UPK certified in the use of these tools.

Initially the client planned on using resources from several large systems integrators to develop and deliver training. As the go-live date approached, it became obvious that additional PeopleSoft training resources were needed. The client needed a company with experienced PeopleSoft end user trainers who understood the application and could quickly learn the client’s internal business processes. Acting on short notice, Synaptis was able to put 11 PeopleSoft training consultants at the client site to cover the client’s 10-week training delivery schedule.
