PeopleSoft training for large restaurant chain Our client is one of the largest casual dining restaurant companies in the world. It operates more than 1,200 restaurants in North America, leading each of its market segments and employing more than 120,000 people. All of the client's employees were affected by a planned rollout of a PeopleSoft Self Service application. The client was planning to integrate all of their independent brand concepts under a single centralized HR system. This would represent considerable change to each of the concepts and the client recognized the value of forecasting and preparing users for the upcoming change. Synaptis created a custom PeopleSoft end-user training solution that incorporated classroom and web-based training components. The training plan started with a web-based training module, in two languages, that was rolled out in advance of Go Live to provide users with the information about the new application, the reasons for implementation, and the effects of the application on employee’s day-to-day routines. This web-based training module raised awareness for the business application training that would come next. For training, Synaptis created 10 procedural web-based training courses on the PeopleSoft application itself offering simulations, demonstrations, and job aids. All content was managed in the Synaptis Learning Center, a SCORM-compliant Learning Management System, so that distribution, reach, and acceptance could be easily tracked and measured. Synaptis reached over 100,000 employees in a matter of weeks, many of which had English as a second language. |
